Consumer expectations for business innovation are growing at a staggering rate. Organizations must adopt a sustainable model to include innovation throughout the product lifecycle. However, innovation is not only the output of creative thinking. True business innovation requires enterprises to have a cultural belief system that generates fresh ideas focused on impacting the overall trajectory of an organization. This talk will explore how to embrace divergent thinking to encourage and execute on meaningful ideas.

Jesslyn brings over 11 years of consulting experience in UX Design to her role as Director of UX for Universal Mind in Dallas. She holds a keen interest in user research, UX strategy, information architecture, and interaction design. Jesslyn’s style of work relies heavily on the belief that the best products come out of a collaborative and iterative process where team members talk often and honestly, feedback is received quickly and fixed even faster, and where user needs and context is the primary driver for creating a delightful solution. Passionate about the design community in Dallas, Jesslyn co-organizes the Dallas chapter for Ladies that UX, a monthly meet up that creates a welcoming, transparent community of women that work in UX.

Outside of work Jesslyn keeps busy taking care of her two sweet little girls. When she does manage to wrangle some free time, she loves running, spending time with family and friends, traveling, experimenting with new recipes, sewing (the more ruffles, the better), and attempting Pinterest projects that usually end up taking three times longer than planned.
